DESCRIPTION:Tickets Are Available Via This Link \nAHA’s Annual Black History Month Gala is held to commemorate and celebrate Black History Month by showcasing the Afro-Caribbean culture to our Sudbury community. This year\, our chosen theme is “Empowering Change Through Dedicated Service.” In a world that often appears fractured\, this theme embodies the spirit of individuals and organizations joining hands to create meaningful change. It underscores the idea that true impact is not solely the result of grand gestures but is born from unwavering dedication to causes that matter. We are thrilled to have Jennifer Bernard\, President and CEO of SickKids Foundation\, as our keynote speaker\, someone whose dedication to service has made a significant difference. \nOur gala promises to be an unforgettable evening of cultural enrichment and unity. Taking place at the United Steelworkers Hall\, this event will showcase the vibrant Afro-Caribbean culture through a captivating blend of elements\, including a keynote speaker to inspire our audience\, delectable Afro-Caribbean cuisine\, entrepreneur showcases\, fashion exhibitions\, live musical performances\, and dance. It’s an occasion that brings the Sudbury community together and fosters a deeper understanding and appreciation of togetherness. \nWho is Jennifer Bernard? \nJennifer Bernard is the President and CEO of SickKids Foundation as of 2023. For over 25 years\, Jennifer has held leadership roles in provincial and national organizations leading and supporting teams that have raised more than $450 million. Jennifer has led successful teams at The Ontario Science Centre and the Royal Conservatory of Music\, as well as Trillium Health Partners Foundation\, Ontario’s largest community hospital and McMaster Children’s Hospital Foundation\, Ontario’s second largest children’s hospital.
