Caroline Owashaba is the Founder and CEO of Ubuntu Connekt, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to fostering empowerment, equity, and community development through intercultural dialogue, advocacy, and co-creation. She holds A Master’s degree in Women, Leadership, and Governance, and a degree in Psychology.

Caroline brings a wealth of expertise in advancing gender equality, social justice, inclusive and global development.

Before founding Ubuntu Connekt, Caroline worked as a Policy and Advocacy Associate, where she focused on amplifying marginalized voices and influencing systemic change.

Building on this experience, she now leads Ubuntu Talkz, a story telling platform that creates safe spaces for immigrants, newcomers, and other equity-deserving groups to share lived experiences of racism, resilience, employment navigation, and belonging. Her leadership bridges local and global perspectives, championing inclusion, co-creation and

collective solutions that strengthen communities across Ontario and beyond.
