Dokun Nochirionye, widely known as Mrs. Noch is a social impact entrepreneur driving meaningful change in Greater Sudbury. She is the Founder & Executive Director of Thriving African Families and a Certified Parent Educator. With nearly two decades of experience, she brings expertise in community development, governance, cultural advocacy, coaching, training facilitation, consulting and executive leadership.

Recognizing the lack of culturally relevant programs for families of African heritage, she founded TAF in 2024. In one year, TAF has become a trusted nonprofit delivering parenting workshops, youth empowerment, cultural education, and community belonging initiatives. Under her leadership, TAF has served 294 unique clients across Greater Sudbury; launched 10 flagship programs for parents, children, youth and seniors of African heritage; secured funding and partnered with 13 agencies.

For Mrs. Noch, entrepreneurship is rooted in service. Blending governance expertise, community organizing, and program innovation, she leads with the conviction that “when families thrive, communities flourish.” Today, TAF stands as a social impact model for culturally sensitive, trauma-informed, and intersectional programming. Her journey reflects the power of entrepreneurship with purpose and the legacy it creates for families and communities.

NOBEEP is proud to spotlight her as Thriving African Families (TAF) marks its 1st Year Anniversary.
