Dear Friends and Supporters,
On July 11, 2025, I will be in Thunder Bay, Ontario, sharing the story and journey of NOBEEP—the Northern Ontario Black Economic Empowerment Program—with fellow entrepreneurs and changemakers in the region. As someone raised in Zimbabwe and Canada, now proudly rooted in Northern Ontario, this work is deeply personal to me.
Now in its fourth year, NOBEEP began with support from the Black Entrepreneurship Program and continues to grow with the backing of FedNor. What started as a small seed is now sprouting across the North—helping Black entrepreneurs break new ground, build strong businesses, and create lasting impact in our communities.
I’m also honoured to share something new on the horizon. We are preparing to launch a bold new initiative: the Northern Ontario Business Settlement Service (NOBSS).
NOBSS is a virtual program designed to support entrepreneurs, business owners, and investors from across the African continent and the Black diaspora who are ready to plant roots in Northern Ontario. Whether you’re looking to start a business, acquire one, or invest, NOBSS will walk the journey with you—offering guidance on legal set-up, business planning, funding, and community connection. It’s about opening doors and creating pathways for Black excellence to flourish in this beautiful part of Canada.

Le 11 juillet 2025, je serai à Thunder Bay, en Ontario, pour partager l’histoire et le parcours de PAENNO — le Programme d’Appuie aux Entrepreneurs Noirs du Nord de l’Ontario — avec d’autres entrepreneurs et agents de changement de la région. En tant que personne élevée au Zimbabwe et au Canada, aujourd’hui fièrement enracinée dans le Nord de l’Ontario, cette mission me tient profondément à cœur.
Aujourd’hui dans sa quatrième année, PAENNO a vu le jour grâce au soutien du Programme pour l’entrepreneuriat des communautés noires et continue de se développer avec l’appui de FedNor. Ce qui a commencé comme une petite graine prend maintenant racine dans tout le Nord — en aidant les entrepreneurs noirs à ouvrir de nouvelles voies, bâtir des entreprises solides et créer un impact durable dans nos communautés.
Je suis également honoré de vous annoncer une nouvelle initiative en cours de lancement : le Service d’Accueil des Entrepreneurs du Nord de l’Ontario (SAENO).
SAENO est un programme virtuel conçu pour soutenir les entrepreneurs, propriétaires d’entreprise et investisseurs venus du continent africain et de la diaspora noire, souhaitant s’installer dans le Nord de l’Ontario. Que vous souhaitiez démarrer une entreprise, en acquérir une ou investir, SAENO vous accompagnera à chaque étape — en vous offrant un accompagnement sur la création légale, la planification d’entreprise, les options de financement et l’intégration communautaire. Il s’agit d’ouvrir des portes et de créer des voies pour que l’excellence noire s’épanouisse dans cette belle région du Canada.
